Which statement best describes your mindset?
*
I struggle to keep a positive attitude. No matter how hard I work, things don't seem to change. Frankly, I've become a bit cynical.
I feel optimistic sometimes, but that usually fades. I've seen too many good ideas fail when they meet obstacles or opposition. I'm not sure I want to risk another failure.
I'm future oriented and confident. At the same time, I'm realistic about the way things work. I focus on the areas where I know I can win, and I usually do.
I'm highly confident that I will succeed. My team and I are undaunted by challenges, and we've proven we can overcome setbacks. I have a high tolerance for risk.

I'm recognized as a leader in my field. I stay ahead by reading constantly, attending training events at least each quarter, and having a personal coach. I'm a better leader than I was last year, and I'm confident I'll be able to say the same next year.

I seldom work more than 50 hours per week. That leaves me free and unplugged most evenings and weekends. I take at least two vacations each year and make myself mostly unavailable to the office. I have achieved work-life balance.
I never work more than 40 hours per week, often less. I am completely offline when away from work, and I have plenty of time for rest and reflection. That includes at least four weeks' vacation each year. I have taken or am planning to take a sabbatical.

Which statement best describes your goal achievement?
*
I seldom set or achieve goals. When I do set a goal, it feels good for a while. But when the enthusiasm wears off, I forget about it. If I do achieve a goal, it's almost by accident and doesn't necessarily produce results in my life or business.
I achieve some goals, but most get lost in the shuffle. I begin with good intentions and a highly detailed plan. But after a few weeks, I find myself lagging behind. I feel good if I can complete one or two goals per year.
I achieve goals most of the time, which leads to growth in my life and work. I review my goals periodically so I don't lose sight of them, and I'm good at determining the next step in each one. When I fail to reach a goal, I take time to figure out why.
I achieve 7 to 10 major goals each year, leading to consistent personal and business growth. I'm able to connect my goals to specific, daily actions so I'm always making progress. I know how to win, and I'm winning at the things that matter most.

I seldom or never review my progress. Honestly, I spend more time berating myself for failure than celebrating wins when they occur. I'm too busy to keep focused on the bigger picture.
I review my goals about once a quarter, especially when asked to report on them. That gives me the accountability I need to get re-engaged. But most of what I do on a daily basis is not connected to goal achievement.
